Short answer: Vendors mostly rely on documented programs, not one big sale. AWS gives a 50% voucher after any pass and to re:Invent attendees, Microsoft runs Exam Replay, and CompTIA runs bundle sales. Black Friday is 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is 30 November 2026. For IT exam vouchers, the real savings usually come from vendor programs you can use any day. A one-weekend sale is not the main source.

What AWS, Microsoft and CompTIA usually do
Vendors tend to run documented programs rather than flashy holiday discounts. Here are the ones we can point to:
AWS: gives a 50% exam voucher after you pass any AWS certification exam. It also gives one to re:Invent attendees. Browse AWS exams in our Cloud Computing category.
Microsoft: runs Exam Replay, which gives you a second try at an exam. Microsoft Azure exams sit in the same Cloud Computing category.
CompTIA: runs bundle sales, where an exam voucher is packaged with other products. CompTIA exams are listed under Cybersecurity.
These programs have their own terms, expiry dates and eligibility rules. Read them on the vendor's site before you plan around them. We do not publish percentages for sales that have not been announced.

The gap varies a lot. Microsoft associate exams and CompTIA exams show the biggest gaps. AWS Specialty and Professional exams and the Databricks exam show small ones.

The 50% voucher is a good deal if you already hold an AWS pass. If CLF-C02 is your first AWS exam, you cannot use it yet.
Also think about where to spend it. The voucher may work better on a pricier exam, such as a $300.00 Specialty exam.
Checklist before buying any discounted voucher
Discount season is when sketchy sellers appear. Run through these five checks every time:
Seller: Is there a real company name, a support contact and written policies? A seller with only a chat handle is a red flag.
Validity: Ask for the exact expiry date of the code. Make sure it covers the date you plan to test.
Region: Confirm the voucher works in your country and with your test provider.
Refund terms: Read them before paying. You want a clear remedy if the code is rejected.
