Is it safe to buy a discounted AWS exam voucher?
It can be, if the seller passes seven checks. A low price alone tells you nothing either way, so verify the terms and the seller before you pay anyone, including us.
Seven checks before you pay
1. The exam and where you will book it
The voucher must be for the exact exam code you plan to take (for example SAA-C03 or CLF-C02) and for the exam provider that will deliver it. Our voucher pages state both.
2. The country the code works in
Pearson, which runs AWS's official voucher store, says its vouchers may be locked to a set of countries. Ask any seller in writing which country the code works in before you pay. Our AWS vouchers have no country restriction: we sell them to candidates in any country.
3. The expiry date
Find out how long the code is valid and plan to sit the exam before it ends. Official vouchers run 12 months from purchase. Some resellers sell vouchers that expire within weeks, so read the date on the product page.
4. The refund or replacement rule
Pearson says all voucher sales are final. A reseller can offer more or less, so get the rule before paying. Ours: a delivered code that is rejected on first use is replaced or refunded when you tell us within 14 days.
5. How you pay
Pay by card through a payment processor you recognise. Walk away from sellers who ask for bank transfers, crypto or payment in a chat app. We take card payments through Stripe.
6. Who the seller is

7. Personal-benefit vouchers
Free and half-price vouchers that AWS gives to students, certified people or employers are tied to the person who earned them. If a seller offers one, ask whether it may be passed on, and read the terms attached to that voucher. Never buy one from a direct message.
What a voucher does not include
A voucher pays one exam fee. It does not include study material, and we do not sell or recommend exam dumps or leaked exam questions: they break the exam rules and can put your result at risk. Free official preparation material is published by AWS.
